I post this here simply to avoid people from trying to claim my words as their own. It doesn't happen often but it has happened.
Enjoy.
As I know most of you will want to reach out not only to one another to comfort and reflect on this solemn occasion, you may also want to reach out to those, you may know personally or not so personally, that lost someone in the buildings that were attacked. I ask that you do so gently and considerately.
I ask that you do not post pictures of the planes or towers or of the Pentagon from that day on these peoples Facebook time lines. For some the sight of these icons and images is enough to throw them back to the moment that they horrifically and forever lost someone dear to them.
If you feel you can reach out to them, simply say you are thinking of them and wish them well.
As it is a day of mourning for America and many around the world, it too is a day of great loss and heartbreak for some of our fellow citizens of this country and our brothers and sisters around the world.
It is okay to remember and reflect on the day. Do not force some to relive the pain again.

Lost Children
As we mature into adults we lose that most important thing that we depend so greatly on as children, our parents. So, instead of reaching out to our fellows, we cry to the heavens for a surrogate to hold us and explain our lives and give us meaning in the dark. All the while we are only inches away from another searching or one willing to guide us to the light of reason.
It only takes a hand to hold to realize that we are not alone as we may think. One word may be all that is said to ease our fears. Only when we finally see that we have been looking in the wrong direction will our eyes be open to the truth.

There Are No Gods But What We Make.
I look upon the whole of mankind's makings and marvel at what it is. We send our creations out into the universe and look back at ourselves only to see how insignificant we truly are. Are our gods not subject to the same?
We are suspended in the ephemeral cradle of creation only to know there is so much more to see. Are we fated to forever think that we are alone and that our puny gods are our only companions? I for one refuse to believe it.
Creation is an act of will and we have willed to life a host of beings that we bow, kowtow and sacrifice to with nothing in return but sadness, death and slavery. If this is all our gods give us then I for one wish for their demise.
When we see injustice in ourselves we try to change it and to make ourselves better. When seen in our gods we only ask that our eyes be open to the truth yet do not question nor demand the answers that we think we need. We pour over texts that were written by dead men so long ago that their names are lost in the dust only to find confusion and more questions than answers within.
When men of reason finally convince their fellows to let go of dead ideas and embrace logic we will then see a true evolution of mankind toward the divine that is us. - Bill.

Something I will developed further.
I posted this to a FB photo from an Atheist page. I find it amazing that people still try to deny evolution. It has been proven enough. Let's move on.
A theory is not a mere thought or idea. It is a highly precise process of stated findings, facts and measurements using scientific methods. Scientific methods are tools used to measure a process. Do not get yourself confused with what many consider theories which usually are conspiracy theories which only involves untested ideas and at times, fantasy. Evolution can be proven with thousands of examples. I'll give you one that a theist can follow, belief in the supernatural. If you look back over mans need to please the unknown, usually called gods, you will see a change in his beliefs as the eons have past. As we mature as species we begin to fill the gaps of the unknown with knowledge and fact. Gods have changed names, they have influenced different aspects of mankind many melding from many gods into a handful. Now we see the evolution of that process to boil down the many gods of nature to the one and only god of Abraham. So you see my fine christian friends even your belief system has proven evolution. I would beg you to see a video by Neil Dyson called God of the Gaps. It is not insulting to a believer but it is eye opening even to those that call themselves atheist. Open your mind and many many books. Reading never hurt anyone.

New poem. Just thought up on twitter.
And so it is as the day sinks to dark I rise to the needs of my art. Forever create and ever delight.
Captain of Social Media™ is mine.
I need to say that the phrase, Captain of Social Media™ is mine. My girlfriend came up with it and I am announcing that I own it here on the internet.
