Again, in the words from the author of the Declaration of Independence clearly stating that the separation of church and state was and is an important thing for both.

"make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. - Thomas Jefferson

Without this separation, freedom will suffer. Your belief system will suffer and the church you go to would become a controlled entity of the state. Yes, your church. Not just some one else's. Not just some "other" religions church but ALL churches and religious organizations.

The tapestry of the United States of America was and is created by a kaleidoscope of every type of faith and non faith. Diversity is what makes us strong. We must celebrate that if we wish to survive.
